Discover Nikon ve Zafer Kaptanoğlu

Nikon’un diğer fotoğraf makinelerinden ayıran bir özelliği var. Bu, teknik ya da teknolojik bir özellik değil... Nikon, ürünlerini kullanan ve uluslararası çapta başarılı çalışmaları olan fotoğrafçıları tanıtmak için Discover Nikon adında bir internet sitesi kurdu. İşte bu oluşuma Türkiye’den reklam fotoğrafçılığı alanında başarılı çalışmalara sahip Zafer Kaptanoğlu katılmaya hak kazandı.
TBWA/İstanbul için çektiği yukarıdaki Beko çamaşır makinesi fotoğrafını gören Nikon, fotoğrafın teknik detaylarını (14 mm F2,8’lik balıkgözü lens kullanılmış) Zafer Kaptanoğlu’ndan ister ve Nikon’la çekildiği anlaşıldıktan sonra kendisini Asya Pasifik bölgesinin en iyilerinin sergilendiği Discover Nikon sitesine davet eder. Ve bir ilki gerçekleştirerek Türkiye’den reklam alanında çalışan ilk fotoğrafçı olarak sitede işleri sergilenmeye başlar.

Nikon as a brand has a strength that distinguishes it from other camera brands although it is not about a certain technique or technological progress they developed. Nikon is chasing photographers throughout world who had accomplished international success (considering that they are using Nikon cameras) and present them in their web-site called Discover Nikon which they created only for that matter.
Amoung other candidates from Turkey, Zafer Kaptanoğlu, who had several prosperous works on advertising has been chosen for this field. As long as Nikon experts had seen the quality and technical details (14 mm, F2, fisheye lens) of his Beko washing machine photo which had been taken for TBWA/İstanbul, they decided to add his name on their A list after confirming that he took these photos with Nikon.
